Solve Emoji MATHS

This week I have been learning Algebra in Maths and we Room 12 have been given a task to create our own emoji slides. Each emoji represent or stand for a digit.

Well I really got stuck on the paperclips slide that was little tricky because in the first row there were double clips I got the answer correct which was 8 however when I moved on the second row then the real tricky bits started.

Water cycle

This week I have been learning about water cycle and Room 12 also was asked to draw their own water cycle so I drew mine on google drawing. I hope you guys would like it. 

Well what is a water cycle!? 

It is a non stop movement of water between the earth and the atmosphere. When the water get heats up by the sun it evaporate into water vapor, then condenses to form of clouds, and later into droplets which crashes into other clouds and then they become heavy so thats where precipitates begins which causes bad weather like strom, thunder, lightning, rain and snow or ice.

Lastly, the evaporated water come back to earth again and then it starts all over again!

Journal Entry Writing

 This week I have been learning about how to write a journal and Room 12 have been given a task to write about being responsible. In this task I have learnt how to make mindmap, burgger planner, how to start the journal, how to make time connections, how to use five senses in journal and how to make ending of that. Below are the google slides of my work. 

In mindmap I put some ideas and then I continued with only one idea because writing about all the ideas I found little wiered. Please do let me know how I did with journal writing and if it was you, would you use all the different ideas from the mindmap!???

News for you(Reading)

This week I have been learing about News for you it is a journal about lockdown and the charcter named Lucy how she felt after found out that they are in lockdown. So whatever she thought or expected went oppsite of that. 

Bascially she was trying to become lazzy and do whatever and whenever she wants to do however her father had set up a routine for them. Well I think most of us also thought the same way like Lucy!

Rubix Cube Math

Today Room 12 have been given a Math task in which we have to create a Cube and describe it. Frist I created a 3x3 cube and then rotated it by 270 it took 3 orders, in reflection the both imiages are looking the same. We were also asked to rotate it by 180 so it took 1 order moreover, we also have to make it in enlargment so basically two different sizes. 

Basically it is a tessellation that has no gaps or overlaps and all the tiles are the same size and vertex facing the same way. Below is a screenshot of my work/Cubes.

Rules of tessellation 

1. It has to be a pattern that has no gaps or over laps.

2.The vertex has to face the same way.

3. The shapes or tiles must be the same size.

Today I have created a Public Service Annocement (PSA) poster about getting our vaccination done as it was a part of my writing task.

WHY!? Because getting our both jab done it will protact you, your whanu and the community.

Digital Tivaevae Quilt

Today we have been given a math task in which we have to make our own digital Tivaevae. 

In this activity, I have learnt how to rotate, enlarge, reflect and translate the shapes of my design. I used 4x4 transfornmation which is the smallest because I didn't want to make myself confused as I've done digital Tivaevae for the first time.

Paper Tivaevae

This week New Windsor School has been celebrating Niuean Language week and today Room 12 has been asked to create a paper Tivaevae Quil. It has so much details and you could describe a tale by the pattern as I learnt in the video. 

So it was our second task to do in our math activity today. We have been asked to use two different colour paper of our choice and create our own pattern. It needs so much concentration, eye co-ordination and cutting skills. Here are my both patterns.

Math task Snowflakes

Today's Math task was to make or create a snow flake on an online snow flake maker here are the images of my two snow flakes which I have created.

This is the frist snow flake which I created in this activity I could rotrate the lines to create the designs of my choice. Doing this I found it pretty interesting because I ended up with an amazing snowflake design. 

So I decided to create another one and I choose to use Christmas colour as it's approching us.

Be a responsible beach goer

 Today Room 12 have been given a task to creat a poster of being a responsible beach goer so I decided to make a poster about being thoughtful with our litre and being a reponsible for our motherland.  I have created a poster about picking up our rubbish on the beach and I will link that in my blog below. 

I think it is very important to do because if we don't lookafter our beaches then our ocean would be pulleted and in a reasult of that ocean creastures would be in danger. Link

Chinese Zodiac

This week we have been celebrating Chinese Language week and been asked to do Chinese challenges as a part of our learnig. We have been asked to do our Chinese zodiac which is based on a 12 year wheel that each year represents by an animal.

#daliy-writing-task

Today room 12 have been asked to write a blog of their own choise so I decided to wirte about my today's outside fun activity. As the weather has been kind to us and it's a nice bright sunny day, I played with my siblings and cousins. We played tag, hide and seek and running around the house chasing eachother. It was heaps of fun as everyone was happy, cheerful and screaming in excitment. It really reminded me of the times when my friends and I played together before the lockdown at school. I hope you guys also having fun in your bubble and enjoying most of the sunny day with your loved ones. If you have not please go outside, enjoy the nice weather, get some fresh air and get your heart rate up by playing or running around the house. As this is our last week of term 3, I wish after the hoildays I can go back to school and have fun with my friends. Be the Chef

 Hi all,

Today we have been given different tasks to choose from our Disconnect -Ed learning and I decided to be the Chef. I made a mug cake which is easy and quick to make.

Equipments:

.a  mug

.a fork or spoon to mix

.measuring spoons

.microwave

Ingredients:

.4 tablespoon self-raising flour

.2 tablespoon suger

.1 tablespoon cocoa

.1 egg

.3 tablespoon milk

.3 tablespoon vegetable oil

.1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

.1 tablespoon chocolate chip

Method

1. Get a mug and put your dry ingredients flour, suger, cocoa and mix it well.

2. add egg and mix.

3. add milk, oil, vanilla essence and mix untill well combined. 

it should look like this.

4. add chocolate chips and mix.

5. put mug on a plate and cook in the mircowave for 1 an a half to 2 mintues.

Mine mircowave took 2 mintues. 

6. ENJOY!  The taste was good you should try and let me know how was it.....?

Science experiment

                                                      Will the objucts sink or float!???

I have been larening a sience experiment on different objects would they float or sink!? I have listed my experiment objects and prediction below and I recored my experiment which I will link to my blog at the end. In this Sicence experiment I also had to make an animation slides about the experiment. My predictions were mostly correct for example rock sunk because it has more density and beach ball floated because it has less density. Moreover, I hope you guys would like my experiment video and kindly excuse the kids around me 😜 and my mum was holding my device so she couldn't capture clearly as the sun was shining and we were doing the experiment outside however, mum did a good job. Thanks mum for being my camera girl 😍. I hope you guys would like my sicence experiemnt video and animation slides.

THE-BAKE-OFF disconnected-Ed

 Molten Lava Cake

Ingrendints: 

6 OZ semi sweet chocolate

1/2 cup butter

2 large eggs/ 2 egg york

1/4 cup suger

1/4 tspn salt

1 tspn vanilla assence 

3 tbspn flour

Method:

First take a pot pour hot water in it, put it on the stove and double boil butter and chocolate. stir it in between and you'll have a mixer oc chocolate. then put it aside on room tempture. 

then add eggs and egg york in a bowl with suger, salt and beat it with an electric mixer. Mix it untill its fluffy and pale in colour. then add chocolate mixer in it and add vanilla assence. Then add 3 Tbspn flour and mix it gently. Pour the mixer into four Creamic 8" bowl greased them butter and flour. 

after that put them into preheated oven on 180c and bake it for 10-12 minutes. It should baked outside and little soft from inside.

you have  perfect baked lava cake leave them on room tempture for 1-2 mintues. then get a serving plate put it on the bowl and flip ir over.

Dust the cake generously with podwer suger and server it with the ice cream of your choice i used Vanilla and moreover decorate it with fresh berries to look more fancy....😍

Serve and enjoy😋 it tastes better with ice cream and warm lava cake great combination. its my family top dessert now. My mum and I got praised so much by my family bubble as I live in a joined family.....😎😜

A few weeks ago we had a task to crate or draw our draem tree house so i decided to built it on Minecraft because it was fun and easier. I recorded my self Click here for link  explaining and showing my tree house. I hope you guys would like it. 

THE-COOK-OFF

Today we have been given different tasks to choose from for our disconnected-Ed day. So, I decided to do cook-off task which was making donuts.

Ingridents

2 cups flour

1 tea spoon baking powder

pinch of salt

100g butter [cubed and cold]

3 tea spoon suger

3/4 cup of milk

cinnamon powder

500 ml oil [For frying]

Method:

In a bowl add flour, salt, suger and baking podwer, then sieve through. then add cubed butter and using your fingertips press the butter inti the flour mix and keep doing this until it is well combined.

 Now add the milk and mix it with a wooden spoon. 

Then, dust your workbench with flour and put the dough on it and kneed it until it's formed into a smooth dough. 

Now, it's time to rool our donuts into balls. 

After rolling them into balls. Put a frying pan on the stove with oil in it. heat the oil and fry your donuts until they are golden brown. 

Finally, rolled them into cinnimon podwer and suger mixer genserously, ready to serve and enjoy!!!!

 This whole week we have been celebrating Te Reo Maori language week. We have been learning Maroi culture. So i decided to draw a taniwha. Taniwha are ferocious creatures and they represent a life force maroi and they live in the deep dark river's and sea.

If my toy sloth came alive whaen I was asleep??

This week we have been given a task to write about our favourtie toy what if it came alive?  and here what I imagined and described. 

 Prat.1      If my toy sloth came alive when I was asleep? 

One day I was sleeping in my bed hugging my furry sloth 

And then he came alive and crawled out of my hands.

He started to climb my toy shelf and knocked all of my toys off. When he looked back he saw all of the toys lying on the ground he felt victorious and power full.He found a paper rope that i made the other day he jumped for his life and made it to the widow. And started to look for a new family.  TO BE CONTINUED...  

And started to look for a new family. When he got out he saw that my house was in the middle of nowhere but it was just that he was little so everything is big for him LOL . So he started to find his way to the jungle so now he’s on his way to an adventurous life in the jungle. On his way to the jungle he came across Mr Duck. He was the president of all duck areas. Sloth humblingly asked Mr president could he kindly lead him to the sloth area so he can be a part of the family. Mr Duck agreed then he sent one of his duck army to look for the sloth area. Finally he founded the sloth area so he quickly packed up and left and fast as a lightning bolt he founded a family and lived happily after            THE END

 lockdown baking brownnie

Today I'm going to share my first ever experience of baking brownnie. It was a collaborative baking as my mum helped me. 

Ingerints

125g butter

1/4 cup cocapowder 

1 cup suger 

1tspn vanilla essence

2 eggs

1tspn baking powder

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup dessicate coconut

Method 

Firstly, I add butter, suger, cocapowder and vanilla essence in a pot and cook it on the stove and keep stir it until butter melts and take it off from the stove.

Secondly, cracked the eggs and mixed it. Thirdly, add flour, coconut and baking powder and mixed it throughly. 

After that, add all the mixture into a baking pan and put it into a preheated oven 180c for 20-25 mintues.

Your brownnie should look like this after 20 to 25 mintues. Then, leave it at room temperature for about one hour.

                                          Finally, dust it with icing suger and cut it into pieces. 

My brownnie's final look and it's ready to taste and I'm telling youit's pretty yummy hummmm!

My baking experience was fun and amazing as I learnt about collaborative, measurments and time managment.
